I need to recover from my weekend. So much birthday cake and so many sweet mother's day treats, so many kids running around and so many spilled juice cups to clean up - I am whipped. So today is a lazy linktastic list day!
- Apparently people are finally starting to notice that motherhood equips women with many skills that are useful in the traditional workplace (via Strollerderby). I may revamp my resume after reading this.
- Offsprung has sprung into the blog sphere with a big splash. I keep reading about it everywhere (well, everywhere that matters, anyway) (just kidding). Here, a taste: "...Offsprung, the perfect online antidote to a parenting culture gone mad. We feature the sharpest, funniest writers on the Internet, each one eviscerating, or at least challenging, a different excess of that culture."
- I have been marveling over the beautiful little confections at 52 Cupcakes. If I had it to do over, I would be a baker with my own bakery, like Maggie Gyllenhal's character in Stranger Than Fiction.
- I may be behind the times a little, but I just discovered Library Thing. Soon I will have all our books cataloged online. For what, I'm not so sure, but it's pretty neat.
- Check out The Letter Project. I need to get on Rick's list so I can see what his letters are like. I am always interested in what people choose to recount, to share, to tell.

omg. i loved stranger than fiction.
Happy belated birthday! I hope you had a good one. Oh, and mother's day too!
I totally loved maggie's part in Stranger Than Fiction. How cool would it be to own a shop like that!
oh man! leah emailed us with the link to library thing like...over a year ago. and ever since i've wished that i might ever have the time to catalog my collection....maybe that can be my first retirement project 41 years from now...my dad bought Will Durant's multi-volume "History of Civilization" when he was in law school and said, "I'm saving this for retirement reading." Sure enough, his first year & a half of retirement was devoted to reading it. So hopefully I'll make it that long. If not, I guess I won't know the difference anyhow.
